Detailed Bugaboo Chameleon Review

When I started looking at prams and pushchairs it wasn't my intention to buy a travel system although I did end up with one as my choices (a Bugaboo Chameleon and, as recommended by 'Which?', a Maxi Cosi carseat) were compatible.

The Chameleon marries simplicity of design with top quality components to present a hard-wearing and versatile pram/stroller. No money has been wasted on fancy finishes or brushed, oval-section bodywork; instead the money has gone on the main elements that keep it moving e.g. the wheels. By the way you can also get special wheels to allow you to still push it in the snow.

The house we live in has a narrow entrance hall and once in, yiu need to turn 90 degrees through the door into the main living room so a neat design and good turning circle are a must. Plus I find the same ease of use when shopping - the handling is so good I can easily manoeuvre it one-handed, and turn it in really tight spaces, which you find a lot in busy shops.

One thing I don't like is that the shopping basket is not easy to access when the carrycot configuration is used but if you take the car, you can have a quick whizz around town using the carseat on the chassis with the basket perfectly accessible.

My Cameleon goes in and out of my car approximately 6-8 times a day, and 12 weeks on stil looks great. The folding mechanism does take a little getting used to, but again, you would have to learn how to operate any new pram, so this is nothing new.

I'm lucky that there aren't many around where I live but when I'm in London everyone has them so I'd have to look for an alternative. But definetely the best on the market. I won't be looking any further for my next child.

I hope you found the Bugaboo Chameleon review of some use and please feel free to email us your own review and we will post it here.
